Walk Them Home 2026 Fundraiser

You helped get them safe. Now let's help get them home.

 

Two months ago, Willow and Ayla were found by the roadside in the Balkans — wet, frightened, and malnourished. The video of their rescue reached you, and you showed up for them completely. Within hours, donations and sponsorships came flooding in. Both girls were safe.

But safe isn't the same as home.

Willow and Ayla are still waiting. Willow — our beautiful, gentle girl who hobbled straight towards her rescuer and leaned in for a cuddle the moment she was found — has something wrong with her left eye and will need specialist veterinary assessment and treatment before she can travel. We don't yet know the full cost, but we know it won't be small.

Ayla, her roadside companion, needs full travel preparation before she can make the journey to the UK.

We're aiming to raise £2,000 to cover Willow's eye treatment and get both girls travel-ready. Every penny goes directly to their care.

And they're not the only ones waiting. Eight puppies — all healthy, all ready to steal your heart — are also preparing for travel to the UK. Any funds raised beyond our £2,000 goal will go directly towards their preparation costs.


“Walk Them Home” - July 2026

 

This July, we're asking our supporters to walk for Willow, Ayla, and the dogs still waiting to come home.

It's simple: You set your own goal. Walk where you are, whenever suits you, any distance - and ask your friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor you. Every step raises money. Every share reaches someone new.

Whether you walk one mile or ten, with your dog or without, in the city or the countryside - it all counts. You just need to sign up.

 

How it works:

1. Sign up by sending us a message on Facebook. We will then get in touch with you.

2. We'll send you your Walk Them Home fundraiser pack - a thank you for taking part, yours just for signing up:

  • A Setter Saviour branded bandana for your dog
  • A mini bottle of sunscreen for you
  • An energy bar for you and one for your dog!

3. Collect sponsorship from friends, family, and colleagues throughout July. Share your fundraising link, send a WhatsApp, post on social media - every pound counts. Transfer your total to us via PayPal or BACS (details below) at the end of the month.

4. Walk any time in July, any distance, anywhere. Post a photo or video with #WalkThemHome and tag us so we can cheer you on.

 

Prizes

At the end of July, we'll award a doggie hamper - packed with healthy chews, treats, and a toy - to three very special walkers:

  • The walker who raised the most sponsorship
  • The walker who walked the most steps (send us a screenshot of your total at the end of July)
  • The walker who posted the most with #WalkThemHome
