When we were sent Masa's photo and asked if we could help, we said yes straight away. What our friends found when they went to collect her stopped them in their tracks — Masa had been dumped near a football stadium, left there with her puppies.
What followed was even harder to hear. A microchip and some careful investigation revealed the full picture. Masa is just 5 years old, and she had already been bred at least five times. When she escaped and returned pregnant with puppies her owners considered undesirable, they simply discarded her. Her and her babies, left to fend for themselves.
Her owners were reported. Masa is safe. That is where we are choosing to put our focus now.
Masa's puppies will be adopted locally, and Masa herself will be ready to travel to the UK in June to begin her search for a forever home — her very first, and one she has more than earned. After a life of giving, it is finally time for someone to give back to her.
