Loki is an English Pointer of around 8 years old, full of energy and still every bit a pointer at heart. He's about to lose the only home he's known after his owner became unable to care for him - through no fault of his own.

He's a confident, athletic boy who bounds up steps with ease, loves a brisk walk, and spends his happiest hours patrolling the garden chasing insects and watching the world go by. He settles quickly once he knows a place is his, relaxing fully within a day or so of arriving somewhere new.
Loki is quietly affectionate rather than demanding - he enjoys a stroke and the reassurance of familiar company, and seems especially drawn to the men in his life. He's a calm, undemanding presence around the house: he puts himself to bed each evening, waits patiently by the door when he needs the garden, and sleeps soundly through the night.
He gets on happily with other dogs and has lived comfortably alongside several, taking everything in his stride. Loki currently enjoys his walks best on a long lead with a confident handler, and loves following his nose - recall is still a work in progress, so a securely fenced garden will be his favourite place to really stretch his legs off-lead.
He's a quick learner when there's a treat involved, even if formal commands haven't been his focus yet - he's eager to please and would relish a patient owner keen to build on that. Loki can settle happily on his own for a few hours, and does especially well with a canine companion for company.
